Additional Notes Two aspen groves were noted in this vicinity. That photographed here is composed of a total of 10 trees which are likely to be cloned. All the aspen trees were old, several fallen and no regeneration was noted in spite of the secure fence. These records together with the previous record of a cloned aspen grove at Daggerstones reinforcee the conclusion that aspens were once widespread on the lower dale sides here.
